Priest-worker
Priest-worker
Whether a wine or building worker, a Disneyland small train driver, or a construction worker, the men I met all have something in common that distinguishes them from the rest of their fellow labor and trade union fighters: they are priests. Far from the parishes and the liturgy, they have made the choice to live their priesthood in the heart of the working world, by working, by sharing the daily lives of those who are more interested in communism than in the Church.
After thirty years of priesthood and almost as much spent in buildings and public works, Bernard Glath recognizes: "I am comfortable everywhere, but there is still a gap: I finish my career as a simple worker, whereas I did studies up to 24 years, also shift with the parish, because I finish my career in a union position ".
