The Giant with the Wet Feet

Due to air temperatures, the oceans are warming. As a result, they are expanding, which is causing water levels to rise, which is exacerbated by melting ice. Coastal erosion and submersion are jeopardizing people's way of life and are already causing billions of dollars in damage. Florida is an emblematic case of the impacts of this phenomenon on human societies. By the end of the century, with a one and a half meter rise in water levels, a third of Miami will be submerged.
